So since my 'Protective Style' post I have taken my twists out, dyed my hair blue black, trimmed my ends, did a blow out AND tried 2 new products.
After taking the twists out, of course I experienced shedding... but nothing more than normal. As for growth, I dont know how much of it I retained because I did the trim the same night and did not do a length check. Also, I noticed many ladies complain of severe tangling after taking out braids and twists. I combat that by carefully detangling my hair with conditioner BEFORE I wash it. As I remove a section of twists, I detangle and then braid up the section.
After taking down the braids, I realized how much I was tired of seeing that brown patch in the front of my head, so I went with a permanent color -->blue black. I used the brand Bigen; no peroxide or ammonia. So far I haven't noticed any extra dryness or breakage with my hair from the color.

The next 2 pics are after the color job was done. I am liking it so far... But if you know me, I'll get bored with it soon! LOL

As for the new products I tried--a pomade and a conditioner-- I'll do a separate post for those. The results were positive with both.

You hair looks great! Luv the blue black. In the past when I've done braids I haven't gotten tangling b/c I've used the same method of conditioning and detangling before I go to wash it. Look forward to your upcoming posts!
Thanks Milan!
